Hi there — we’re Meghan and Kate, co-founders of Lumen and Sage, a sacred space for healing, connection, and spiritual remembering.

Our journey began separately, but aligned through a shared devotion to healing — for ourselves, and for others. We first met while working as therapists at a group private practice, where we instantly felt drawn to one another. What started as a simple connection quickly evolved into a deep friendship rooted in mutual curiosity, spiritual exploration, and a shared love for the mystical. Over tea, tarot, and long conversations about healing and energy, we began to dream together.

It was within this sacred friendship that Meghan began to uncover her own spiritual gifts — with Kate’s guidance and mentorship. Kate introduced Meghan to Reiki and shamanic work, and through those experiences, a door opened. Meghan was in awe that she, too, could access this kind of healing — and it sparked a deep passion to help others discover their own inner wisdom and spiritual abilities.

We discovered how deeply our paths overlapped — not just as therapists, but as intuitives, healers, and teachers. When we learned that the group practice we worked for was closing its doors, it felt like the universe was nudging us forward. We were already dreaming up spiritual retreats, co-hosting circles, and envisioning a podcast… so why not go all in?

Lumen and Sage was born out of that aligned leap — a space where psychotherapy, energy work, and spiritual healing come together as one. We believe healing is multifaceted. It can be clinical and mystical, structured and fluid, deeply personal and powerfully communal. Our work is grounded in evidence-based therapeutic techniques and enriched with tools like Reiki, tarot, shamanic practice, meditation, and ancestral healing.

Meghan’s Path

Hi, I’m Meghan — a licensed therapist, Reiki Master, and shamanic practitioner currently living in Portugal. My healing journey didn’t begin with a lightning bolt moment — it began with a quiet, persistent sense of disconnection from myself. I grew up trying to fit into expectations, rarely pausing to ask what felt authentic. In my 20s, I began a process of unraveling and rediscovery. Tarot was my first gateway inward, and from there I was led to therapy, energy healing, mindfulness, and spiritual study.

My personal healing became the foundation for the work I now do. I’ve supported people through trauma, grief, spiritual awakenings, and the journey back to self. I believe that everything you need to heal already lives inside you — sometimes you just need a space and a guide to help you remember. Lumen and Sage is that space: a heart-led, inclusive sanctuary for growth, connection, and spiritual transformation.

Kate’s Path

And I’m Kate — a licensed therapist since 2008, as well as a Reiki Master, evidential medium, shamanic practitioner, and tarot reader. My spiritual gifts came into sharp focus after the passing of my father. That grief cracked me open in a profound way and marked the beginning of a deeper spiritual awakening. Through my healing process, I connected with my soul’s mission: to help others raise their vibration, reclaim their spiritual power, and remember the sacredness of life.

Over the years, I’ve supported people navigating trauma, loss, identity, and transformation. My work blends the clinical with the mystical — offering a grounded, intuitive space where healing can be both tender and transformative. Whether I’m holding space for deep emotional processing, offering energy work, or guiding someone through spiritual development, my goal is always the same: to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered.
